This TikTok Rolling Cart Hack Declutters Your Home in Minutes

When you live in a house full of people each with their own stuff, you can expect those inevitable piles of clutter to accumulate from time to time. It doesn’t take much for a mini mountain of clothes here and a stack of paperwork there to evolve into a situation that demands attention. And more often than not, that attention comes from a working parent with not enough time (or energy) to put it all away.

Enter TikTok creator @aesthetically_ally_, who shared a brilliant solution to the gathering portion of the decluttering process. A licensed therapist who posts home management and organization tips on her account, she addresses the frustrating feeling of overstimulation many parents get when they walk into a messy, disorganized house at the end of a long workday.

“I can’t stand having a dirty house or a messy house,” the creator says in the start of her video. “For me, that is my overstimulation nightmare. Let me introduce you to the cleaning cart.”

According to what she wrote in the comments, her decluttering cart started out as a cleaning supply cart and evolved to what it is now.

Get a Clutter-Free Home with a Rolling Cart

Unlike other related ideas that rely on carrying a container (like a laundry basket) from room to room and piling in discarded shoes, toys, and sweatshirts (among many other random things), this hack makes use of a rolling cart. You simply toss errant objects on as you motors from room to room until you’re satisfied, where you then leave your cart at a designated landing spot. Your family members or roommates can then pull their belongings from the cart and put them in their bedrooms, backpacks, offices, or kitchen drawers.

It turns out that @aesthetically_ally_ not only knows how to gather things quickly but also how to get her family members to put their clutter away.

“Need a part two because this is an adhd doom pile that would never get unpacked off the cart unless I did it myself later, and I would not, haha,” the top comment on her TikTok reads.

The creator responded with an answer almost as clever as her rolling cart tip: “The second everyone gets home, they immediately have to retrieve any of their belongings off the cart and put them away. It’s so much more effective than giving the directive to ‘clean up’ 🥰”

And the rolling cart hacks don’t end there. “Love this idea!” another viewer wrote. “I may use two tiers for clutter and one for some cleaning supplies.” As they say: Two is better than one.
