Home & Design | Find Your Outside

After a few laps around the show floor (pace yourself—we’ve all been there!), you’ll want to slip into one of the most relaxing corners of the Home & Garden Show: the Backyard Lounge. This year’s setup, brought to life by Landscapes Plus, reimagines outdoor living through the lens of ease, wellness, and year-round enjoyment. With 37 years of design-and-build expertise, Landscapes Plus was crafting luxury outdoor spaces long before “outdoor living” became a buzzword. Their secret? A blend of seasoned craftspeople, specialty equipment, and immersive 3D design that turns ideas into building reality.

What’s Trending: Effortless Beauty & Everyday Wellness

As we move into the 2026 season, Landscapes Plus is seeing homeowners gravitate toward easy-to-maintain landscapes built with thoughtful plant palettes—think layered greens anchored by vertical evergreens, punctuated with white-blooming contrast for a timeless look. And wellness continues to be in high demand—you’ll see that reflected in the Backyard Lounge’s inspiration points:

  • Recreational lawns featuring low-maintenance artificial turf
  • Saunas and sport pools designed for both relaxation and play
  • Dual-temp swim spas with resistance jets, warm on one side and cool on the other
  • Outdoor kitchens that function as social hubs
  • Outdoor lighting that extends the mood well past sunset

These aren’t just upgrades but extensions of how people want to live now: with less upkeep and more intention and play.

We’re designing and building the Backyard Lounge as a complete outdoor space, including an accessory building, with pavers, artificial turf, and raised seat walls. Warren Johnson, Landscapes Plus

A Space Where Possibility Takes Shape

For this year’s show, Landscapes Plus is partnering with Valley Pools and Spas and Pro-Shed Buildings to transform the Backyard Lounge into a destination that shows just how effortless luxury can feel. Expect a fully realized outdoor concept, complete with a pool or spa to anchor the space; a stylish accessory structure from Pro-Shed; and pavers, artificial turf, and raised seat walls that define zones for gathering, lounging, or simply pausing to imagine it all in your own backyard.

The goal at this year’s Backyard Lounge isn’t just to inspire but also to show visitors how a beautifully designed outdoor space can elevate everyday life without adding complexity.
